4S-2000 took over the foundation authorities in the Zsigmond Illyés Accident Surgery Scientific Foundation, thus the assistance of scientific research activities in the András Jósa Teaching Hospital’s Accident Surgery Department can continue.

In spring 2021 the Zsigmond Illyés Accident Surgery Scientific Foundation remained without founder and in order that the Foundation can continue its activity, 4S-2000 has taken over the founder’s rights and responsibilities. The scope of activities of the Foundation with public interest status is the development of devices and instruments for outpatient care.

The name giver of the Foundation, Zsigmond Illyés, was the head of the Accident Surgery Department of the András Jósa City Hospital in Nyíregyháza. Zsigmond Illyés dealt with the conservative and surgical treatment of musculoskeletal diseases, mainly regarding congenital orthopaedic diseases and orthopaedic and respiratory paralysed children. He has achieved particularly important results in organizing their national rehabilitation. In Nyíregyháza, he introduced the first artificial limb factory in Hungary and organized the first day and night outpatient clinic, as well as the first infant- and paediatric orthopaedic screening. With this, for the first time in Hungary, he implemented hospital and outpatient treatment of musculoskeletal patients based on a uniform principle. As a surgeon, he has achieved significant results primarily in the field of surgical solutions for hip dislocations, hip fractures and femoral fractures. (nevpont.hu)
