4S-2000 started to implement "5S" lean methodology

Order and efficiency implemented at the employee level is the basis and condition for the orderliness and efficiency of the entire company.

In March 2021 an internal project starts at 4S-2000 Ltd., which - at workstation level - will develop a culture, behaviour and system, which improves the transparency of the processes, helps maintenance of order, furthermore, it will help revealing and solving issues related to the processes. The project is expected to last half to three quarters of a year; during this period all workstations will be reviewed and upgraded.

The „5S” methodology will create such a company culture and activity system, in which people will pay attention to their work environment and they keep it in order and develop it consciously. The aim of this methodology is to implement and maintain an environment suitable for efficient, safe and quality work; creation of a condition, in which the enterprise can continuously promote an unbroken development.

Seiri

Identification of necessary things existing on the workplace, elimination of needless things

Identification of the (value-creating) steps needed to produce a product or service and eliminate unnecessary activities (losses).

Seiton

Realization, identification, marking and transparent arranging of exact and practical place of things

Establishing the appropriate sequence of each process step, determining the appropriate location for the performance, arranging the tools required for the performance, labelling and marking their location.

Seiso

Cleaning on the work area and its surroundings.

Cleaning the machines, devices and floor.

Eliminate slippery, dirty surfaces.

Seiketsu

Maintenance of the implemented order and cleanliness, standardization

Standard development, standardization (communication, training, dissemination of the standard within the organization).

Shitsuke

Building the above mentioned 4 methods into the enterprise culture; self-discipline.
